Dawson City, Yukon based adventure and hiking tour operator
Owned and operated by a couple that have fallen in love with the Yukon wilderness. Graham and Marta Sherwood are your North of Sherwood guides. Join us paddling on the local rivers.
We offer guided trips paddling down the Klondike river, past forested banks, grassy slopes and cobble dredge piles. A good day introduction to river paddling appropriate for all skill levels. Families welcome.
This trips offers three hours of time on the water, with a hearty lunch break to get out and stretch your legs. Wildlife viewing and gold rush remnants can be seen on the banks of this historically significant waterway. Email us to book your Klondike river trip, a must do while visiting Dawson City.
We also offer four night guided trips down the Stewart river, rich with history, picturesque scenery, and that vastness of true Yukon wilderness. Moose, beavers, otters, bears, wolves, and many bird species inhabit this wilderness and we may be lucky enough to see some of these forest dwellers as we travel through their home. Along the way you will learn basic bushcraft skills, enjoy excellent meals around nightly camp fires and in early fall the northern lights have been known to provide spectacular twilight displays. Advanced booking required.
Check back next season as we are in the process of developing lodging on our subarctic homestead, as well as many more adventure opportunities to explore Yukon wilderness.
